Applying for a Gaming Industry Employee's Licence

Gaming industry employees must hold a licence to perform certain duties and functions under Victoria’s gambling legislation.

If you already hold a gaming industry employee licence that has not yet expired, and want to renew your licence, please proceed to the gaming industry employee licence renewal page.

Before you start you must have access to
* A passport style photo (must be no more than 3 months old)
* National Police Check
   from either Victoria Police, Australian Federal Police or any other provider appearing on the most current Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission's list of Accredited 'Broker' Organisations.
* Individual Credit Report
   from either Equifax or illion

The above documents must not be more than three months old at the time of lodgement of this application.

* other documentation may be required depending upon your individual circumstances.

All documentation supplied with this application must be in digital form and attached where required.

Application for a National Police Check

Please ensure that if you are making an application for a police check through Victoria Police or through one of the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission's list of Accredited 'Broker' Organisations then the reason and purpose of the check is listed as "Employment - Casino or Gaming Licence".

If you are applying for a police check through Australian Federal Police then please ensure that the purpose of the check is selected as "Other Commonwealth Purposes - Name Check Only".

Full name and preferred name

Your preferred name will appear on the front of your licence and your full name will appear on the back.

Your Police Check and Credit Check must specify both your preferred name, full name and previous names.

Saving your application

Your application will be auto saved during the course of your application.

A facility is available for you to save a partially completed application and return to your application for a maximum of fourteen business days. You must supply a valid email address and mobile phone number (for security validation) to use this facility.
